SARITA GUY

Sarita is broadly interested in data-driven decision-making and the application of biometric methods in agricultural science. She joined the Animal Genetics and Breeding Unit in 2017 as a postdoctoral research fellow for the Advanced Livestock and Measurement Technologies project for globally competitive Australian meat (ALMTech). She is investigating the use of objective carcase measurements for the genetic improvement of lean meat yield and eating quality in lamb, beef and pork. A component of this work is to facilitate the flow of data on carcase attributes (including compliance to market specifications and health) from processors to producers, and to genetic evaluation systems where appropriate
